Darwin NT

Dino. Palmerston NT
Out and about first thing this morning, just after 10 or so. We had a new market to go to and check out, down the road about 20km at Coolalinga. It's held in the grounds of the NT Polocross mob, (who incidentally just held the Australian Polocross nationals or something) and the market is in this huge shed without walls. Basically its just the same as any other market up here only smaller, BUT, this one had a car show attached, so it had to be on a winner!

From the market we went back up to the Coolalinga shopping area and drank moderately good coffee before heading back toward Darwin to check out the big barn on the side of the road that appeared to be a big second hand shop, but which turned out to be a closed second hand shop, and a huge restaurant that we will have to fit in some time, and a one time landscape garden centre with some eccentric garden ornaments.

Back to the van for lunch, a rest, a read, a swim (it is a hectic pace) and then down to Stokes Hill wharf for a drink, nibbles and a coffee, and watch the harbour lights come on, mostly because we could.

Anyhow, some snaps to make your day

  1. I now have a similar trike with an identical Ulysees sticker on it.
