So, we are now in a flurry of activity getting things together for the car, the van, the house, and making more final arrangements on the itinerary, looking at free camp spots (our first time free camping so what an experience!) and when in major towns, bookings with caravan parks all over the place.
This weeks activities:
- Booked Broken Hill, Hawker, Kings Canyon, Katherine, Darwin
- Waiting on a response from Coober Pedy
- Bought a really warm coat each - they tell us it's cold in the dessert at night
- Bought extra power lead, a new awning end screen and deflappers
- Had a long chat to Telstra about coverage and new telephones
- Digitising the cd's
- Chasing down a ipod thing to hold the music
- Looking into solar power and decided against it for us for this trip
- Checked out the storage space in the van and how to better utilise some parts
- Changed a few more of the utility people to on-line billing, except the gas which can't be done, why do they do this?
- Booked the car in for a thorough service
- Decided against more caravan service as it was done only 3k ago
- Swapped one of the gas bottles for a full one, who knows how empty or otherwise the other one is?
So, there's lots to do!
