Busselton WA April 23, 2015
Long and tedious drive across from Albany to Walpole. The road is narrow, twisty and undulating. We got stuck behind another van wandering along, oblivious to the world, doing anywhere between 70 - 95, for 80km. There is just nowhere to pass. At Least I allowed a few cars to pass by pulling over. Is it any wonder that we get such bad press? You may be surprised that this super-highway is Highway 1, yes the very one that they all do their lap of Australia on. Frankly the back roads are 100% better.
Finally they turned off and we made it into Walpole without me getting too excited. After Walpole we headed across Nannup and came across the first overtaking lane for 320km! We stopped in Nannup for some lunch and to have a well earned rest before finishing the 60 odd km to Busselton itself.
No snaps today, it’s too late to go out and start now, might go for a swim instead.
