Having paid zero attention to the “few things to be fixed” until the last minute, we were actually ready to leave as scheduled on Friday 5th, but as it turned out we were well and truly ready to get going by Thursday afternoon, so we pulled the front door of the house closed and hit the road.
All the way to Yass - 70 km. But what a great idea, nice leisurely stroll over very familiar road to a very pleasant park for good nights sleep and an clear straight onto the highway the next morning. We’ve pencilled this trick into our future trips. Great idea.
