Just passing through. Made it here from Kununurra in good time and made a phone call to Josh the mechanic who is expecting to rebuild our car tomorrow. Sadly, the gearbox can be traced as having left Adelaide on Friday but can't be found anywhere at present. TNT can't say if it went from Adelaide by truck or train. The trains had a derailment last Friday and may or may not be running again, we think they are, the Ghan is in town heading for Darwin. We all think and hope that the gb is on a truck floating around Darwin somewhere and will be delivered tomorrow. Josh assures me he will make sure it goes in as soon as it turns up. Oh well, the worst that can happen is that it wont show and we will be kicked out of our booked site in Darwin on Saturday and we wont be able to get another spot or another tow car. Maybe that Ford Territory doesn't look so bad after all!

On a brighter note, wandered into Telstra here in Katherine and they gave me a replacement SIM, no fuss no charge. They sent us over to the Post Office where they thought they had stock of the basic phone we currently have and we procured the very last one. I stuck the SIM in and blow me down, it just worked!

Anyhow, a early night and a early start again tomorrow, we are planning on going to TNT and sitting in their office until they find the thing. Wish us well!
