Barkly Homestead, NT

Easy run down from Banka, then turn left at Three Ways and drive straight on for 210 more km. Fortunately the notorious tablelands wind was having a day off so it was pretty smooth driving. Same highlight as last time we came back this way, a slight right hand bend at the 87km mark!

Almost the first in so we had the pick of the spots, settled in and then went for a Barra Burga for lunch. Short walk around to inspect all the wrecks and junk up the back (probably waiting for the fabled NBN to pass by the front door), one of which is a huge reel of that blue fibre optic cable, then back for a cup of tea and…

Oh, I forgot to mention that on the run down from Banka Banka to Three Ways, there were two huge bullocks dead in the one place on the side of the road, whatever hit them must have been huge like a road train and must have known all about it. It'd be like running into two 1m high, 2m wide blocks of concrete.

At least one of us has taken the nap option!
